cake-stealing, puppy-loving boy | non-stagrams

Our little nieces came to visit last weekend for Easter!

All four cousins: 8 years, 2.5 years, 1 year, 1.5 years :)

We stopped by church bowling night.

Watching Nolan’s grandparents bowl.

One lady gave Nolan her turn.  Nothing but gutter.

I made a pina colada cake for MOPS, and had some left over, so I packaged up a slice in a container to bring to my friend Briana, who is home with her new baby. I was drying my hair in the bathroom, and Steve was supposed to be watching Nolan in the living room. However, Nolan came up to me with two handfuls of cake, stuffing his mouth as fast as he could. He had swiped the container of cake off of the kitchen table, opened it, and grabbed the entire large slice in his hands! Silly boy.

Later that day, Briana took this picture of us with the new baby. Nolan looked huge in comparison!

I finally found a box of Thin Mints, and Nolan got to try his first one. Mmm!

A new box design for the first time since I was a Girl Scout in elementary school!

My mom and I had fun granting a wish together! We are helping send a little boy and his family
to Disney World.

A special Monday night treat—white chocolate raspberry sundaes.

I love this position that he fell asleep in!

We went to my friend Alyssa’s art show, and this is zoomed in on her painting—great detail!

Saw this monastery on one of my drives. It looked amazing from far away, high up on a hill.

Cutting up strawberries for Nolan, I realized that a special few have hearts inside.

Nolan modeling a little scarf I crocheted.

Trying to touch the camera.

Dinner at Smokey Bones. Amazing burgers & fries!

We found a really nice mall on Friday night.

The best part of the mall—the pet store! Nolan loved seeing these kitties up close.

And he laughed out loud (a lot) at this little “Cavapoo” who was running back and forth inside his cage.

The “Cavapoo” and Nolan trying to reach each other.

This puppy started jumping on the glass because he wanted to play with Nolan. This made Nolan jump back until he realized the puppy couldn’t touch him through the glass ;)

My Great Uncle Tony (on the right) passed away last night in Indianapolis. Keeping his wife, sons, and my grandpa in prayer, as he was only 65, and will be dearly missed.
Hope you all are having a great weekend!
I need to get outside today—high of 68—our first warm day of spring!

  1. Sorry for the loss of your family member Rachel... and I think it is so wonderful you and your mom helped make a wish come true. So amazing :) Always love me this time of year with the Girl Scout cookies! I bet Nolan can't wait until they come around next year!
