It’s time again to share my favorite things of the month that I’ve picked up for under $10!
Mossimo Racerback Tank—I bought it at Target last weekend for $8! Unfortunately, it looks like it’s sold out online. Some of the other colors look cute too though!
A while back, when I mentioned my hair gets tangly because it’s so long, a few of ya’ll recommended I buy a “Wet Brush”. I was looking at buying one online, but then I found it Target for $8.99! I’ve been using it for a little over a week, and I already love it. The bristles are so gentle, and they do the trick of getting through tangles! My scalp is much happier :)
Found this gem in the Target dollar bin for $1! It has a magnetic back, but I’ve got it sitting next to my computer. I jot down notes all over the house because I’m always scared I’m going to forget something important. :)
So technically this book is not under $10—it’s $11.51 on Amazon. But Kindle is only $7.99, and I’m going to give you a chance to win it for FREE! Even better. :)
Enough: 10 Things We Should Be Telling Teenage Girls by Kate Conner
I started reading this book to garner advice for the teenage girls in my life, but I didn’t realize that I would actually find words applicable to ME: nearly-a-decade-out-of-high-school ME.
Kate Conner is a blogger in her late twenties with a young daughter and two young sons. Her post on this same topic “10 Things I Want to Tell Teenage Girls” went viral with more than 2 million views in two weeks, so she turned it into a book. She addresses issues like social media, tanning beds, cigarettes, modesty, and drama. The book is sprinkled with scripture and laced with humor. But most importantly she emphasizes that every teenage girl is beautiful. And every girl is ENOUGH.
Here’s an excerpt:
”Assume everyone is doing the best they can.
Offer the benefit of the doubt.
Mind your own business.
Mind your manners.
Choose your battles.
Don’t take it so personally; eliminate defensiveness.
Evaluate.
Am I speaking to help?
Or am I speaking to feel better?
Be humble.
Be gracious.
Don’t believe everything you think.
To the extent you control your temper and your tongue, you control your life.
Wage war on jealousy; you are enough.
Refuse bitterness—stiff-arm it.
Don’t react; respond.
If you take pleasure in correcting someone, that is the time to hold your tongue.
If it pains you, that is the time to speak in love.
Don’t let your mood affect your character.
Think bigger—pray for perspective.
Practice empathy.
Love people, love people, just love people.”

Have a great day!
Hi Rachel! I just recently bought a Mossimo maxi dress at Target and I think it's the same pattern as your tank. :) We have a wet brush for both my girls with curly hair that gets really tangled. We love them!
