what i wore wednesday

cutoffs, black tank, hat
I had a nice pair of American Eagle bootcut jeans that had been stepped on a few too many times, so I decided to try making my first pair of cutoffs. I REALLY love how they turned out!

I very much appreciate the comments I have received about bouncing back to my pre-pregnancy weight—THANK YOU! :) Today I want to share my “special” mom-of-two workout routine—something I’m sure many of you can relate to. Ready? :)

Exercise:
1. STAIR-STEPPER: I climb the stairs a million times a day. I always seem to need something from whatever floor I’m not on.
2. ENDURANCE: I pace the floor several times a day lulling my baby to sleep.
3. WEIGHT TRAINING: I carry the 18-pound little guy everywhere I go. For extreme training, I carry him in his carseat with one arm while holding Nolan’s hand, crossing hot parking lots.
4. LEG SQUATS: I pick up a fallen pacifier about 100 times a day.
5. LOWER BACK: There are many scattered toys to be put away!

Diet:
1. ON-THE-MOVE: For breakfast and lunch, I shovel in bowls of cereal while leaning over the kitchen counter.
2. SANITY SAVER: Chocolate is a must to get through those long afternoons! :)

I bought this maternity tank online over a year ago, not knowing that it had gathering down the sides (I just wanted it to be nice and long). Since it is black, I didn’t think you could see the gathering in the mirror—but after these photos, I think I should just save it for pregnancy. :)

Shorts: American Eagle jeans, made into cutoffs
Tank: Old Navy
Shoes: Yuu
Hat: Target

  1. I'm always so afraid to cut my jeans but you did a great job! Your workout made me laugh because I remember saying the same thing when I was in this stage of parenting.

  2. Nice job on the jeans, cute casual outfit. I get back into swimming as my exercise, as I have a muscular disease and it is great for no impact and whole body. Sounds like you have a great healthy lifestyle
