‘manic drive’ cd giveaway

manic drive
I haven’t talked about it too much here, but one of my passions is Christian music. Since I was a kid, I have loved Christian radio. I collected CD after CD of Jars of Clay (my absolute favorite), Plumb, Amy Grant, Audio Adrenaline, Switchfoot, Relient K, Sanctus Real. . . I know what’s good. :)

So when asked to review the latest CD from a Canadian band called, “Manic Drive”, I was excited to check it out. I hadn’t heard of them before, but I can definitely see them sneaking onto the Christian music scene. I was searching for past hits on YouTube, and it sounds like they came from a heavier rock background, but this album is totally Pop.

The title track “VIP” is SUPER catchy and upbeat. What I love most about the entire CD is that you can sing to it, you can dance to it, and you don’t have to worry about little ears hearing something inappropriate. Nolan is quickly picking up song lyrics lately, and I want to make sure that what he’s hearing is wholesome.

There are a couple slower, more worshipful songs that I really enjoyed, like “King of Mercy”about our God relentlessly pursuing us, and “Song to Sing” with its modern twist on “How Great Thou Art”.

Here's the lyric video to "VIP" so you can have a listen:
