We made the trek to Indiana over the weekend, and I was so excited to attend my cousin-in-law Jaime’s baby shower! She and my cousin Zac have been waiting for a baby for a long time, and they are due with a sweet little boy at the beginning of March :) Her shower (thrown by her mom, mother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law) was amazing! The theme was, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”, and there were all kinds of cute, wintery touches.
The beautiful mother-to-be!
The shower was held in a gorgeous banquet room, catered with a brunch menu. My favorite part? The banana cake with chocolate ganache. It tasted like the world’s best banana bread.
The mug gifts were filled with a hot chocolate packet, chocolate-filled spoon, gloves, and a white-chocolate dipped pretzel.
We used Sharpie oil-based paint markers to decorate our mugs. We took them home to bake them and seal the paint. Such a great party idea!
There were TONS of gifts for Jaime to open!
At the end of the shower, Zac’s mom (my Aunt Sally) gave him a fun “Dad’s Diaper Duty” tool belt to keep all kinds of necessities for the baby :)
I loved spending a few hours with my family—we don’t get to see each other nearly often enough!
Jaime and Zac, we can’t wait for your baby boy! He is already loved so very much. Xoxo.
LOVE the mug idea! How fun!
