In discussing New Year’s resolutions yesterday, I didn’t mention anything about fashion. For many years, I loved looking at fashion, but I didn’t participate in the trends myself. As I get older (and as this weekly “What I Wore” series progresses), fashion has actually become important to me. And the clothes that I like are constantly evolving to fit current styles, my age, and my personality. So I actually do have a couple of fashion goals for the year. One is to spend a little more time choosing my outfits. I tend to grab the first pair of jeans and the comfiest shirt I see in my closet, without putting much thought into it. Another goal is to use my money on only things that I am going to be crazy about. And then I want to wear those pieces until they are worn and full of holes. Life’s too short to leave your favorites only for special occasions. :)
Shirt | Daisy Fuentes (thanks Dana!)
Teal Jeans | ana for JCPenney
Cardigan | ana for JCPenney
Shoes | TOMS Desert Wedges in “Brown Herringbone”
I love shirts made for long torsos, like this striped white tank. And a flowy, button-less cardigan looks good with any top!

I never noticed/realized your hair was ombre! so gorgeous! and i absolutely love long shirts. i have a long torso and end up buying in the "tall" section (usually online) so shirts don't shrink on me :)
ReplyDeleteI have spent way too much money over the years on clothes that I didn't love.....I've gotten so much better at determining what works and what doesn't and Pinterest has totally helped me evaluate what is actually in my closet! Anytime I am complimented multiple times on an outfit I try to make a mental note..and if I wear something and there is not one comment...well....I note that too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! I like the cardigan with the jeans.
