From the author of Pippi || Giveaway

Rasmus and the Vagabond

Typically, when I am asked to review a book, it is a title that is brand new. This time, however, I’m talking about a children’s book that was published in 1956! I couldn't pass up a chance to read a book relating to my Swedish heritage :)  “Rasmus på luffen” was translated into English years ago, but has been out of print for quite a while. This new edition is copyrighted 2015—and you can enter below to have a chance to win your own copy :)

Rasmus and the Vagabond was written by a famous author, Astrid Lindgren. You may recognize her as the author of a very special book . . .

Yep, she was the creative force behind the feisty, free-spirited Pippi Longstocking!

Rasmus and the Vagabond

Rasmus and the Vagabond is a story about a young boy who runs away from the orphanage in search of a better, more exciting life. He desperately wants parents who love him and a home to call his own. He meets Oscar, the vagabond, who becomes an inspiration to him—and they go on to experience some harrowing adventures. (Like a Swedish Huck Finn :)

This chapter book is aimed for the 8-12 year-old range. Kids will love this imaginative classic!

Sidenote, as I was taking these photos, Nolan grabbed his little brother’s new toy camera and helped me take some shots :)
