Every Girl Link Up || Easter Touches
Easter is only three days away, and I’m excited to share how I’ve decorated our cozy space for the holiday!
Astleigh and I are hosting the Every Girl Link-Up today, so at the bottom of this post, click on some of the links to see more cute homes and their Easter touches!
If you're linking up--grab this graphic below for your post, and add your link! I can't wait to get a peek at how you've added some bunnies and eggs to your homes!
My favorite spot to decorate is our mantel, since it's the only place little hands can't reach. I started off with our milk glass collection, and then I began adding Easter-themed pieces. Candy is one of my favorite ways to incorporate a color scheme! At Eastertime, the only candy I really need is Cadbury mini eggs :) I made the "Because He Lives" watercolor sign the other night, and I'll include it below as a free printable!
On the left side of the mantel, I did more of the same. The "Happy Easter" watercolor printable is also below :)
I love my two sweet bunnies from Target. They’re off-white with gold ears (one is sitting, one is standing), and I think they are timeless! They’re sold out on Target.com, but maybe you could still find them in stores if you’re lucky!
I talked about making paper eggs on
Monday—this is the one that Nolan made :)
Last year, I cut this fabric bunting from a large piece of white eyelet cotton. I left the strips unfinished to give them a frayed look, and then I tied them onto a piece of jute twine. The white fabric reminds me so much of the Easter story and the linens that Jesus’ body was wrapped in. Peter and another disciple went into the tomb on Easter morning and found the strips of linen lying there, and they would soon believe that Jesus had risen from the dead.
I did a simple chalk design on our kraft paper roll, "You make all things new."
All the pretty glitter eggs shown are from Walmart. I think they were $1.88.
My mom bought me these adorable turquoise and silver placemats from TJ Maxx. (Thanks, Mom!)
We can't wait to do an Easter egg hunt today with friends, and sometime between now and Sunday, we’ll find time to dye our eggs! Wish us luck with a three-year-old :) The eggs pictured are not real (found them at Walmart), and I’m hoping they absorb color well because I think it’ll be neat to keep them for next year.
To use these printables, just right-click each of them, and save them to your computer! They are for personal use only. I had them printed at Staples on cardstock as 8x10s. Hope you enjoy them!
If you're interested in participating in a future "Every Girl Link-Up" with
Astleigh and me--get on our mailing list by shooting an e-mail to everygirllinkup@gmail.com, and we'll send out reminders on what topics are coming up!
Have a great day!!
