Happy Monday morning to you! We had a full weekend! I wish I could borrow some of the energy of my little guys because Sunday night finds me curled up on the couch and yawning!
Saturday was Steve's and my sixth anniversary, and we kicked off our day with a trip to Lowe's for the "Build and Grow" workshop. It was the first of a six-part Avengers series that Lowe's is doing this summer. Steve and Nolan put together Iron Man and the Avenjet. I don't know which guy had more fun :)
Meanwhile, Ephraim and I walked up and down the washer/dryer aisle opening and shutting the doors. Cheap entertainment ;)
While at Lowe's we picked up a few things for the house. Steve tried to tackle some small projects on his list of to-dos around the house as an anniversary present to me :)
After Ephraim's nap, we headed downtown to meet my mom and Don, and also Steve's mom, brother, and niece. This weekend was our town's big annual summer festival, and the Saturday night parade is a highlight!
Nolan had a lot of fun watching the parade! We counted over twenty fire trucks. We also saw horses and dogs, a stuffed elk, Shriners on little cars, twirlers, and multiple marching bands!
Ephraim's at the age where he is constantly trying to run away from us and explore!
After the boys were in bed, we ordered a pizza and enjoyed every bite! We watched some Royal Pains.
The annual town fireworks started at 10, and we were excited that we could see them from the 3rd floor of our house!
Sunday morning, some of our town's churches combined to do one big service outside in the park. The rain held off, and it was awesome to worship outside with the community!
We tried to keep the boys quiet with snacks :) I didn't get a photo of him, but Uncle Josh was visiting, and the boys were so excited to see him!
We had lunch with Steve's family, rested at home, and then went to a
church picnic in the evening. The rain didn't quite hold off for the
event, but we had a lot of fun. The boys came home very tired and muddy
:)
Hope you enjoyed the weekend!
Tomorrow, I'll be sharing about my summer vegetable garden! See you then.
