On Sunday afternoon, we took a detour on our weekend trip to go meet our new baby niece!
This is baby M! She was born November 5th, so she is a little over a month old. M has a full head of very dark hair, beautiful gray-blue eyes, and she is PRECIOUS! I love her!
Ephraim (with his cheeks full of puffs) and K—the blonde-haired, blue-eyed cousins :)
I love this photo! I think it’s adorable how K is cuddled up to Uncle Steve. And how cute is N playing with Ephraim!?
We tried to get a photo of the cousins together. The girls sat and smiled perfectly, but my boys were not having it!
Oh, Nolan. . .
We spent the night and stayed through Monday afternoon. The big three ran around like crazy, and the girls deemed Nolan their Prince Charming. We had to keep them from trying to kiss each other. :)
Ephraim is still a little cuddle bug, but I miss the newborn stage!
I’m so glad that we made the stop to visit them! These girls (and their wonderful parents) are the BEST!

family camp 2014
We spent last week at our camp in New York. Steve and I were both counselors there during our college summers, and we fell in love on the shores of Lake Chautauqua :) I didn’t know that five years later we would start a tradition of going to family camp, and this second year was one I won’t soon forget!
Monday—we spent the afternoon with the kids on the beach. I wish that we could hang out there every day!
Tuesday—I can’t tell you how many hours we spent at the giant sandbox. When we were done, we hit the beach for additional sand fun :) (And a little bit of time in the water.)
Wednesday—The guys were playing in a basketball tournament in the gym, so the rest of us entertained ourselves on the grass.
Steve’s grandpa, widowed in May, came to spend the week with us. I was glad to capture this shot of father and son!
I wasn’t sure if Nolan was going to be able to tie-dye correctly, but he did! I did make sure that he had no clothes on to get in the way!
Thursday—We attempted a trip to the beach (again!), but the temperature had dropped so we didn’t stay for long.
The discovery of puddles!
The staff watched our kids (minus Ephraim), so we took off for a quick ice cream run :)
Friday—I already posted pictures from the Fourth of July parade. We had a low-key afternoon, and left for home after dinner.
We’re already planning for next year! This week went by too fast, but we’re so grateful that our boys will be a part of this camp legacy and will hopefully come to know Jesus better on these special grounds. :)
