Life in the Zimm Casa

April was a great month! With Easter, the added time outdoors, the start of soccer, the end of Steve's school year--things have been going really well around here. This is the recap I promised!

Baby yawns are just adorable . .  I'm always glad when my camera is fast enough to capture one.

August is a little too big for laying on his brothers' laps now (he wants to stand and move and grab), so I'm sure these photos will become a treasure.

Our mantel was all decked out for Easter a few weeks ago. Easter is my favorite holiday, so new pieces in the Target Dollar Spot seem to jump into my cart. :)

August's THREE month photo on April 6!

Our Walmart sometimes makes holiday shaped donuts, and Easter egg bismarks were too cute to pass up!

Our forsythia bushes bloomed, and these yellow flowers are one of my favorite signs of spring.

On Palm Sunday, Nolan and Ephraim were excited to wave palm branches down the aisle at church. They got a little over-zealous and started hitting people with their palms #lifewithboys

At my Bible study, we decorated pots and planted tomato, basil, fennel, and wildflower seeds. Then we talked about the parable of the sower in Matthew 13.

"But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown" (Matthew 13:23).

"Somebunny loves me." Too bad you can't see the cute bunny on his bum :)

For MOPS I made these pink meringue kisses for our Tea and Testimony event. They turned out really well.

Like every other family in America, we dyed Easter eggs with a good ole Paas kit.

So much fun to be the Easter bunny for three little boys!

It seems impossible to get all three of them to smile, so I'm trying to enjoy the added character :)

Case in point: Ephraim. (This photo was taken in the "photo booth" at church.)

Added character.

August might the smiliest baby ever!

I try to bake when I can find some spare time. These yellow macarons had pink buttercream filling and were consumed quickly.

. . . added character!

On one of our walks, the boys and I saw our favorite pink magnolia tree in full bloom. Totally gorgeous!

We spent a Sunday afternoon at Sue and Denny's. Denny took the boys out on his tractor, which was a huge hit.

In previous years, my tulip bulbs haven't flowered. This year, however, when Steve was out mowing the lawn, he found some! Yay!

How the baby and I can be found 75% of the day. :)

My mom was practicing her cookie art again, and shared these pretties with us.

Tummy time for everyone.

Nolan started U6 soccer, and I'm officially a soccer mom!

Nolan's in the center of the photo--getting that ball in the net! Steve is assistant coaching Nolan's team.

Ephraim is thoroughly disappointed that he's not on the team. They gave him the extra jersey, though, so he can pretend :) It takes some energy to keep him off the field.

My mother-in-law made her famous blackberry pie for a night with church friends.

The sweetest picture. Ever.

I hope this week has treated you well! As always, thanks for caring to take a peek into our lives :)
