Third Trimester & PinkBlush

We are entering the third trimester with this sweet baby, and we cannot be more excited to meet her in three short months!

Let's talk maternity clothes for a minute. With this being my fourth pregnancy, I feel like I know what's comfortable and what's not at this point.

I look for pieces that are:

1. Soft. I like 100% cotton/rayon or close to it.

2. Long. I have had many maternity shirts that become too short to cover the bump in the third trimester. I also want the shirts to be long enough to hide the elastic waistband on my pants.

3. Pretty. I love finding pieces that are currently in style for non-maternity clothes. I typically gravitate towards neutrals so I have staples that mix and match easily.

4.  Fitted. For me, I like tops and dresses that are somewhat flowy, but also give me a shape, so I don't look like a house. I definitely don't like shirts that are too tight over the bump. It's so important to be comfortable and have room to breathe!

PinkBlush sent me this tunic to try, and I love it! It checks off all the boxes for me. The crochet detail on the sleeves is so pretty! I'm sure I'll be wearing it weekly for the duration of this pregnancy.

PinkBlush has the best selection of maternity clothes that I've seen lately, and the prices are affordable, especially with a coupon code. They have regular women's clothing, and even some kids' clothes as well.

This is the Grey Black Striped Crochet Sleeve Maternity Tunic (It also comes in beige). I wear it with jeans or black leggings.

I've been looking at their selection of maternity dresses, thinking ahead for Easter, and there are so many lovely options!

Thank you to PinkBlush for gifting me this top. All opinions are my own.

Catching up

Keeping three little boys busy in the dead of winter is not easy, but hopefully spring is right around the corner! I have been reading several books about hygge and staying cozy in the winter. It's all a mindset, I suppose! Here are some of my favorite photos from this past month:

We went to a bakery where my (brother-in-law's brother-in-law!?) works. I thought these cupcakes were lovely!

Ephraim working on a Thomas puzzle.

August was feeling a little under the weather. I'll take the cuddles!

The boys like to watch pizza get made at Giordano's. The guys behind the window put on a fun show!

January, and now February, have had their share of snowy weather. This was the first day we had enough to play in! August thought it was pretty fantastic.

We try and have quiet reading time in the afternoons.

That sweet little profile!!

Ephraim is our best sleeper. Some mornings we have to wake him at 8:30 or 9. I think this particular morning, it was almost 10!

On this day, Nolan put on his Chase shirt, and the other two HAD to find their Paw Patrol tees as well.

We went with my moms' group to the Children's Museum, and had a blast! This big water table is always a favorite.

Nolan is way up at the top in the boat.

Nolan and Ephraim had lots of questions about dinosaurs!

Steve and I spent several nights watching CrossFit on Netflix. . . you know, while snacking.

Breakfast in bed with August. :)

Showing off his new monster shoes!

The crib was quite busy during this nap time.

Our niece turned 7, and we made her a big vanilla cake, topped with blue meringues.

I often come home from church with new jewelry. Ephraim made this necklace for me.

I love when Nolan can read to the other two!

There was a moment when one of our boys was throwing a fit, which caused Stephen and me to snap at each other. Later when he came home from work, he brought me these beautiful "I'm sorry" tulips. I didn't deserve them, but like the sign says, love is not easily angered, and love keeps no record of wrongs.

My first issue of Magnolia Journal (thanks, Mom!). It's so good, and so inspiring for spring and gardening and baking!

The little ham on the left is always keeping us on our toes!

We went to Chick Fil A the other night, and it was a definite highlight for the boys!

In case you missed it, I also posted about August's birthday, Ephraim's birthday, finding out about our GIRL, and a recipe for perfect blueberry muffins.

xo.

Ephraim turns five!

We can't believe Ephraim is already FIVE! He was SO excited for his birthday, and he was having trouble understanding why he had to wait for almost all of January to pass before it was his turn to celebrate.

Ephraim chose an "ICE" theme for his party. We cut out giant paper snowflakes for the wall and the front window, we decorated in blue and white, and I made some blue Jello jigglers that were supposed to look like big ice cubes ;) All in all, we kept it simple, and he was thrilled.

Happy little face while everyone sang to him :)

Ephraim is the best artist, the loudest singer I know, and he gives 100% at everything in life. Sometimes he complains a lot, but he is inherently sweet and kind.

We made chocolate cupcakes on his actual birthday, and he wore his Superman shirt and cape all day.

Five - a whole hand!

We gave him a PJ Masks coloring book, and he was halfway done with it in a few hours.

And Grandma and Grandpa Z sent him an Elephant & Piggy activity book, which he LOVES!

After watching Superman (1978 with Christopher Reeve), he wants to color him all the time. His drawings are so good!

Clark Kent and Lois Lane ;)

I love you, my green-eyed boy! Stay five for a while, okay??
