Cadbury blondies

It's no secret that Cadbury mini eggs are my favorite holiday candy. I try and stock up on several bags to last me a few months :) If you've grabbed a bag on one of your last quarantine grocery-adventures, you should try these delicious blondies!

I first posted this recipe six years ago here, but I'm retyping it out as it deserves a new post and new pictures after all this time :)

You'll need:

2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1.5 sticks butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 (10 oz) bag Cadbury mini eggs

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together.

Warm the butter over medium heat on the stove, until it's nearly melted. Cream it together with sugar and brown sugar. Then, add the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk.

Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture to create the cookie dough. Next, gently mix in the chocolate eggs.

Spread the batter evenly in a greased 9x9 or 8x8 baking dish. (This last time, instead of greasing, I used parchment paper in a metal 9x9, and it worked great!)

Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.

Let the blondies cool for 30 minutes before cutting into them.

There's a Cadbury egg in every bite! :)

Enjoy!!
