Friday Favorites

friday faves 2-131

Another week has gone by, and it’s time for FRIDAY FAVORITES! Read on :)

ONE is yesterday’s photo session with my two FAVORITE boys :)

Ephraim’s two front teeth have just popped through at the exact same time, and baby is not a happy camper! I am hoping he returns to his sweet disposition soon!

Nolan is doing so well at playing independently and creating with his train-sets and Duplos!

This pink plaid/gold vest combo was my favorite outfit of the week. I am ready for spring colors—neutrals and pastels—but winter will be sticking around for a while yet. It is only THREE degrees as I’m typing this, and we have a high of ZERO on Sunday! Extra hot chocolate, all around! :)

Yesterday, for our Every Girl Cheer Link-Up, I posted these Cornflake Chocolate Chip Cookies! If you’re a crunchy cookie person, you will love the texture that the cornflakes add!

Today is the last day to enter my “Rasmus and the Vagabond” children’s book giveaway! It is an older book, originally written in Swedish by Astrid Lindgren (author of the famous Pippi Longstocking), and it is now back in print! Click here to enter to win.

This is my public service announcement for the winter. We were super cold in our house for the past week and a half, and I knew that something had to be wrong with our furnace. In the photo above, I had the thermostat set for 85 degrees and it just could not get higher than 62 on some days! The vents were all warm, and the furnace was running nonstop, but it didn’t feel like there was much blowing action. We finally called a plumber friend and it took him only a few minutes to discover that our filters were just FILTHY and keeping the air from blowing! It had only been about three months since we had changed them, but I guess with a dog and some kitchen remodeling, the filters got gross. Immediately after replacing them, the furnace rumbled more loudly, the vents blew out tons of air, and the furnace turned off to relax! Get yours changed if it’s been a while :)

I was lucky enough to visit my FAVORITE restaurant in town twice this week! Steve and I split a delicious stromboli last Saturday. And then on Monday, some ladies from church invited me to lunch! I still find it funny that they put fries on top of a grilled steak salad in my neck of the woods!
