This weekend was the best! We had so much fun celebrating Easter with our family. The weather was gorgeous for March, and we have so much to be thankful for.
On Saturday morning, we let the boys dye Easter eggs! They were careful not to spill (too much), and they loved using their spoons to drip the colored water over each egg.
My boys must have double-lashes. Do you see this? Let me zoom in . . .
These come from their daddy, definitely not me! :)
Ephraim is in his "terrible twos" in that he throws a fit every single time we do something he disagrees with. He cried hard when we were done coloring eggs!
I think our little chickies did a great job!
Every Easter, I eat a Cadbury egg in memory of my sister Hannah! She loved these!
On Saturday night, we had dinner with the Zimm side. It was us, Steve's parents, Steve's brothers Josh and Dave, and a family from church. Ephraim was the first to sit down at the table, and he was holding up his plate for those yummy strawberries!
Grandma bought them a couple of games, including "Don't Break the Ice" which is a big hit :)
Relaxing on Saturday night with some episodes of The Office.
On Sunday morning, N and E were so excited to see their Easter baskets! Nolan held up every single thing to show us.
Happy to find chocolate bunnies!
They have now been playing with their baskets for two days! Nolan pulls everything out and does "inventory" on his candy and toys several times a day. :)
Bismarck Easter egg donuts are a weakness of mine!
Steve had to go to church early to practice music, so the boys and I got ready quickly and headed out the door for church at 9:30. The music was wonderful! We normally have one or two musicians play on a Sunday, but for Easter, we had them all play together. I wish I could have recorded it!
After church, we had a big lunch at my mom and Don's house. I bought Nolan and Ephraim matching blue Easter shirts, and they looked SO cute. (Thanks to JCPenney's awesome $10 coupons, I got each shirt for $2!!)
Be still my heart!!
I made chocolate cupcakes for dessert, and this was E's preferred way of eating it :)
Mormor bought them some super cute books, so they cuddled on the loveseat together to read.
These three guys are my whole world! I am so grateful for our little family, and for a Savior who came that we may have life and have it to the full.
"Oh praise the One
who paid my debt,
and raised this life
up from the dead.
Jesus paid it all!
All to Him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain,
he washed it white as snow."
Looks like such a fun Easter! And your boys' lashes! Gah!! I am green with envy over here...
ReplyDeleteLove your Easter picture, esp your teal(?) dress. Gawking at how long your boys' lashes are! Why does it seem that the boys have longer lashes than we do? My dog has longer lashes than I do! Go figure!
ReplyDeleteI keep saying this, but Ephraim is getting so big! They look so handsome in their matching shirts :) I love that song...Happy Easter to you all!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lovely Easter!
ReplyDeleteThe boys looked so cute in their matching outfits and I LOVE your dress!
