friday favorites

Favorite ONE | Our new niece!

Steve’s brother Phil and his wife Dana had their third baby girl on Wednesday! Dana had a planned C-section, and we had no idea the gender or the name of the baby, so we were on the edge of our seats! They live far, but thank goodness for iPhones that can take and send plenty of photos :)  Michaela is our fourth beautiful niece (no nephews yet).

Favorite TWO | Ephraim is 40 weeks old!

It’s a cute milestone when the baby has been with us as long as the pregnancy lasted. And he has almost tripled in size!

Insert more photos of Ephraim here :)

Favorite THREE | Outfit of the week

I’ve always had a serious love of plaid shirts, so I’m excited that they’re on trend right now. If you find cute ones on sale, let me know!

Favorite FOUR | Sending sweet mail

Yesterday I posted this color-themed package. A few of us got inspired to do a “Christmas Cheer Exchange”. More details coming on Monday!

Favorite FIVE | Watching our parents fall in love with our babies

There’s nothing sweeter than watching my mom and mother-in-law read books or play games with Nolan. It’s awesome to see a glimpse of what they were like as moms to me and to Steve. I love how my father-in-law has taken a liking to the baby. I wish I had a photo of Ephraim reaching up for Grandpa’s glasses and smiling from ear to ear. :)

I am so excited for this weekend! I know it will be busy, and it will fly by, but when Monday morning comes, we should have a baby grand piano in our living room, and a finished upstairs bathroom!

What are your weekend plans?

  6. Aren't babies fun? :) I don't have kids, but my nephews and niece are hilarious.

This Old Navy flannel shirt looks similar to yours except it has blue in it instead of purple - http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1018072&vid=1&pid=978516032. Here's another similar one that is darker - http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1018072&vid=1&pid=122355052. In your WIWW post, didn't you mention that you wished your shirt was longer? Old Navy flannel button-ups are. I am actually wearing one today that I bought last winter. It looks like both of the shirts I linked are $22 online. Not sure what the prices are in-store, but I recently learned that Old Navy has a 14-day price adjustment policy. If you buy them now and notice that the price has dropped in the next two weeks, you just take your receipt in and have them adjust the price and refund you the difference. Good to know! :)
