What I Wore Wednesday

Pink Plaid & Gold Vest

Brrr! There’s no end in sight to the icy days and sweater weather, even though I am ready to ditch the mittens and boots soon. We are getting our furnace checked out this morning (it’s tired of working 24/7), so I’m hoping our house will get a little cozier today! My car wouldn’t start yesterday, so my fingers are crossed that it will be fixed today as well! My outfit choices and shoe picks are pretty limited when it’s so cold. I donned this pink plaid, and I gave myself a fresh coat of pink nail-polish in honor of LOVE week :)

I’m linking up with Lindsey, Alison, and Shanna.

I mentioned last week that I was going to write a post today about Hannah, as I do every year. But as I sit here tonight, I don’t necessarily have any fresh words to say. I miss her as my best friend and my sister every day. I will never find anyone who can replace the hole that has been in my heart for so many years. I have now lived without her longer than I lived with her, and that fact is not an easy one to acknowledge. Every February 11th, I dwell on the moment I held her hand as she left us. Jesus pursued Hannah, and Hannah pursed Him back. And for that reason, I know that her spirit lives on, and I will be reunited with her again someday. :)

See you again tomorrow for our Every Girl Link-Up Chocolate Recipe edition!!

  6. First I want to send you my cyber condolences, I know how it is to lose someone, but not how it is to lose a sibling. I lost my best friend and that was hard enough so I can't even imagine what you are going through today. There's this song I found the other day and the one lyric says "I hope you're dancing in the sky and I hope you're singing in the angel's choir. I hope the angels know what they have I bet it's so nice up in heaven since you've arrived."

Now, secondly I love your outfit it's so cute and the fact that it's got some pops of color makes it that much better! I'm now following you on GFC, happy Wednesday!
