F R I D A Y F A V O R I T E S
Friday is always a breath of fresh air after a long week! I read a quote last night that just about sums it all up: “Motherhood is an experiment in how long your body can function without adequate sleep or nourishment and fueled only on adrenaline, caffeine, and baby smiles” –Unknown.
How true is that!? I’ll also add—it’s not only physically taxing, it’s emotionally hard. God has used motherhood in my life to grow me so much in a short amount of time.
Here’s to hoping for more sleep this weekend! :)
On to the favorites of the week. . .
On Wednesday, I talked about my favorite outfit of the week—this cotton, Lorelai Gilmore-esque dress with a bright pattern! Steve picked it out for me at Target for only $8! I am so thankful that the weather is warming up so that I can wear dresses again!
If you missed it yesterday, I posted these delicious, deep-dish individual chocolate chip cookies that bake for only 60 seconds in the microwave! It’s a perfect dessert recipe for a date night on the couch :)
I loved sharing about favorite vacation ever—our honeymoon to Cape Cod, Massachusetts! Writing about it made me REALLY want to go back! We tried to taste ice cream from every shoppe we saw, but I’m sure there are places we missed. . . ;)

On Tuesday night, my friends Amy and Nicole hosted a fabulous fondue party for our big circle of mom friends. They made three different cheeses and four different chocolates, and the rest of us brought various foods to dip. It was absolutely delicious—especially the dessert part of the evening. It felt good to sit around with friends and laugh! I think it’s the first time I’ve been out until 10 pm in forever :)
One of my very favorite parts of the week is that I was able to get outside and GARDEN! There was snow on the ground from January until April (it’s finally melted), and now there are little shoots of early daffodils and lots of weeds. I bought some Easter tulips from church on Sunday, and I was reminded that I had planted last year’s bulbs out in our yard. Sure enough, when I raked away some old leaves, I found five tiny growing tulips! I am so excited to watch them bloom this spring!
Lastly, I really enjoyed this short video of Joanna Gaines’s testimony. Steve and I just started watching “Fixer Upper” on HGTV.com, and we are absolutely loving it! Chip and Joanna’s relationship is fun to watch, and her design style is impeccable. Do you watch it?
We have some fun plans this weekend including a first birthday party for one of Ephraim’s girlfriends :) What are you up to?

Have a good weekend! Here's to hoping you get some much needed sleep😊
Umm, your husband picked out a dress for you that is stylish and fits?!?!? He's good! My husband has no idea what size I am and would be way too scared to try to pick something for me. He always asks for very specific instructions in regards to style.
ReplyDeleteOh and that fondue looks so good! Angie, you should totally try Fondue if you get a chance! It's so good!
Loving Joanna's testimony! I heard pieces of this when I attended an even they hosted last October.
