Spring Sandboxing

It has been a LONG time since I’ve taken photos of the boys outside! Yesterday reached 65 degrees, and we took full advantage of it! After church and lunch with friends, we spent some time outside raking old leaves and making our yard more presentable. It amazes me that while last week the grass was dull and brown, and I wasn’t quite sure it could be revived, this week it is a pretty, bright green! After Ephraim woke up from his afternoon nap, we went over to our friends’ house for a picnic. The rest of the group was celebrating the finish of a run/walk for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Hopefully next year when our kids aren’t quite so little, we can do that part as well!

The boys LOVED playing in the sandbox. Our friends have a small boat filled with sand, and lots of other toys for their grandchildren when they visit :) It was Ephraim’s first time playing with sand, so of course, he taste-tested some handfuls! Somehow I never manage to have changes of clothes in the car when my boys get truly dirty ;)

Nolan got to go for a ride on the motorized John Deere tractor.

And Ephraim loved having the freedom to roam outside!

Today got me so excited for weekends this spring and summer! I intend to savor every minute of sunshine and warmth :)  Today is a high of 75—which is unreal for April!
