It's Monday, and it's my favorite day of the year! I turn twenty-eight today, and I'm excited to get the celebration started! We did a few fun things yesterday, since Steve has to work all day today. I'll be posting all about my birthday tomorrow. This past weekend was mainly focused on my friend Cathy's wedding on Saturday. Cathy asked me to be her matron of honor, and I had such a great time filling that role!
Cathy's story is one of redemption. She was married once before, and she has three children. Though she fought for her marriage, it ultimately had to end. Cathy has been a single mom for a few years--working, raising her kids, and caring for a special needs child. Recently, she reconnected with a friend from high school, Don. Don had never been married, and he had so many of the qualities that she was looking for in a husband, like kindness and patience. They were engaged in May, and set the date for August! It was a beautiful, simple wedding at our church, and we are so happy for Cathy and Don! Take a look at their big day:
The girls, Rachael and Anna, looked adorable in their fancy purple dresses, and Corey did such a great job walking his mom down the aisle! :)
Our boys stayed home during the wedding, so Steve had his hands free to be my personal photographer ;) ;)
Thank you, Cathy, for letting me be a part of your special day! We wish you and Don all the best in your new life together!
For those of you who blog, Astleigh and I will be hosting another installment of the Every Girl Link-Up on Thursday! We'll all be sharing our fall décor, so get your photos ready! :)
