This weekend was packed with so much fun! My cousin Dayna and her family just moved to our state (from Houston), and she and her kids came to visit us on Friday! Nolan is perfectly in-between her two kids age-wise, and he LOVED playing with them. They bonded over trains and Paw Patrol while Dayna and I got to catch up. My mom and Don showed up with Subway sandwiches for lunch, and we soaked in the family time.
The rest of the weekend flew by. On Saturday, Nolan made a monster truck at Lowe’s “Build and Grow” workshop. We gathered with a group of other Lowe’s parents that we know, and headed out to brunch together. Our kids played with their monster trucks and we got to know each other better over some eggs and lattes. :)
Saturday night, we did a big Walmart run for milk, dog food, and other essentials before more snow arrived. After church on Sunday, we took Nolan to a super fun Ninja Turtles 4th birthday party. He had a blast! When he was filled up with cupcake frosting and Starbursts from the pinata, we headed home and relaxed for the rest of the night. Steve and I watched the Downton finale, and it was wonderful, but left so many outcomes unknown!
I’m so happy that it’s March, and I’m excited for what we have on our calendar this month.
Hope your weekend was enjoyable! :)
