Pig Roast

On Saturday night, our church had its first-ever Pig Roast, and we gathered together in the middle of the woods for a night of fellowship. Offering unlimited food and good music means that we will most definitely show up :) My kids were the youngest ones there, but they had a good time running around, playing at the playground, and teasing the pastor's puppy. After a big dessert of homemade applesauce and dark chocolate brownies, it got a little too cold for us (the downside of fall), so we headed home for bedtime. We attend a small church where everyone is like family, and we all enjoy each other. I'm so grateful for little events like this to keep our weekends hopping :)

I'm sad that outdoor events like this are ending soon for the year. I am hoping to go to a pumpkin patch on Saturday, but there is a snowflake symbol on my five-day forecast! Slow down, fall :)

  1. These pictures are gorgeous! Your foliage is usually a week or two ahead of ours, and that definitely seems to be the case right now. Beautiful!
