The Bat Hotel

I want to start a new blog series on the projects that my boys and I work on. I have been slacking on doing educational and art-related activities with them, and I want to keep myself accountable by posting new things every week. Now that Nolan is 4, and a complete sponge, I need to continually fill his little brain with all good things!

This "Bat Hotel" idea came from Katherine Marie. (Hey, it's like our house!) I redrew her graphic, and then I used simple addition problems for matching the bats to their rooms. You could do this with subtraction, multiplication, or really any kind of matching!

No way is my baby old enough to do math! But with a little help (using my fingers), he caught on and answered each equation. :)

Fellow moms, I hope this inspires you to sit down on the floor and do something fun with your kids today :)

Tomorrow, I've got another furniture facelift to share! See you then.

  1. Great idea! Thanks for sharing - maybe I'll do this to help my four year old match his uppercase and lowercase!

I came over from Say Yes to Happy - I'm a Chicago blogger and I always love checking out other bloggers that Julie mentions with roots to Chicago!
