I’ve had a few discouraging days lately when I have wanted to leave the house and do something fun, but it feels like too daunting a task because I’m not showered or dressed, and the baby’s feeding schedule is so demanding. At the end of my rope on Friday, I set the goal to get dressed before 10 am every day. (So far I’m successful!) I put on this light-colored outfit at 9:55 yesterday morning. By the time Steve got home in the evening and could take my picture, I had a purple smear of Play-Doh on my pant leg, a mouth-shaped chocolate stain on my arm, spit up on my shoulder, and either baby sweat or baby pee on my tank (I’m pretty sure it was pee.) Maybe I should rethink my love of white and pastels? :) But at least I was ready to go on an errand if needed, and I was not in my pajamas if someone showed up at my door.

My little love tends to cry when I’m taking my weekly photos, so I invited him to join in. As for “What He Wore”, he’s a Carter’s boy through and through. :)

Is it bad that I laughed while reading this? I mean - the life of a mom is just so glamorous! Stick to your love of pastels - I didn't see any stains even after you mentioned them ;)

ReplyDeleteHair, makeup, and dressed by 10:00am? I'm totally impressed. You've now given me a new goal. :) Those nursing camis are the best! I think I need a print/patterned one now.
ReplyDeleteI love your Wednesday posts ! I'm not sure I will ever be dressed before 10am though. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all of these bright colors - both on you and on E! Such sweet pictures!
ReplyDeleteHaha, 10 am is downright ambitious! You & your son look adorable though. I found you through Pleated Poppy. If you get a chance to head over to my blog sometime, I've got me & my little boys' outfits up! Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously the cutest nursing cami I have ever seen! NICE!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your outfit! That has to be pretty hard staying clean with two little ones! And of course E looks adorable as ever :)

So cute! I only have one and I have a hard time getting dressed. What's daunting for me is doing my hair. Somehow I don't have the patience to dry and straighten it. I need to do this more often! And we LOVE Carters!
